Effaclar Duo Unifiant

This week I’ve been testing out La Roche-Posay’s latest release, the Effaclar Duo[+] Unifiant*. This BB-cream type product claims that it will not only even out your skin tone and cover redness immediately, it will actually help your skin’s overall appearance with long-term use. It’s the perfect follow-on product from the all-hailed Effaclar Duo[+], which I’ve used and loved for many years myself. It’s time to see if the Unifiant can live up to expectations because what’s not to love about a make-up product that your skin will actually thank you for?

comb3Moving into a new house is definitely one of the most exciting parts of heading back to uni. It’s exciting to live only upstairs/ next door to the people you’ve spent all summer missing (at least it is for the first few weeks anyway) or to move into totally new surroundings and play out your expectations of what uni life is all about. Whilst I can only dream of jumping back two years to re-live my first two years at uni and once again experience the responsibility-free life of a fresher, I can still get excited at the prospect of returning to education for another year. Argan oil

Whilst the hype around coconut oil continues, I wanted to remind you of, or maybe introduce you to, the amazing powers of argan oil from Morocco. It may have had a surge on the beauty scene a few years back but after experiencing the farming process first hand this summer, my appreciation of the so called ‘elixir of youth’ has massively recharged. Understanding the benefits and uses of argan oil might just put it back on your beauty radar too.

jeansnandtrainers

There’s been a couple of new additions to my wardrobe in the last week including a pair of embroidered jeans that I picked up at the end of this season’s sales and a pair of controversial black trainers, which I was kindly gifted after a recent event. Both of which are from brands that I don’t typically shop with and they push me a little out of my fashion comfort zone.

edinburgh

On our recent long drive back from the Scottish Highlands following a family wedding, we took a couple of nights out to discover the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh. With a few recommendations in mind, we took to wandering the cobbled streets as true tourists before hunting out the hidden gems. Despite visiting for less than 48 hours, I absolutely fell in love with Edinburgh and thought it was only fair to share the places that made our brief city break so enjoyable.

Muffins

The recipe that I used to create these delicious muffins was a combination of numerous different ones that I had found online. I wanted to try and make them gluten and refined sugar free but keep the ingredients list as simple as possible. Apart from the dates, I already had everything in my cupboards so hopefully you will too.

wishlist

I spend far too much time curating wish lists in my head and filling up virtual baskets, but here’s a solid summary of what’s top of my list this July.
