On our recent long drive back from the Scottish Highlands following a family wedding, we took a couple of nights out to discover the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh. With a few recommendations in mind, we took to wandering the cobbled streets as true tourists before hunting out the hidden gems. Despite visiting for less than 48 hours, I absolutely fell in love with Edinburgh and thought it was only fair to share the places that made our brief city break so enjoyable.
Last summer I got my first taster for surfing. Admittedly, the waves were small, the sea was freezing (we were in Cornwall) and as a complete beginner, I spent a very minimal amount of time actually ‘surfing’. Ever since then I’ve been waiting to have another go and when uni finished for the year, I went with group of friends to the west coast of Morocco to do just that.
Have I ever seen so much rain in June? Definitely not. Oh well, what’s a blogger update without a moan about British summertime weather.
I’ve finally found myself with some time to just stop, sit-down and relax. The first half of my week was completely centred around revision but exams are all done for me now and my second year of uni is officially finished. O-YAY!
Day trips to unfamiliar places have always been one of my favourite things to plan and do. Although I still love going back to the towns where I know who does the best coffee and cake or how to actually get to/ from the station, it’s discovering the unknown places that add to the fun. As mentioned in my latest Sundaze post, I recently paid a visit to the village of Knutsford in Cheshire along with a few girls from my course.
A week of deadlines, inspiring lectures and end of term celebrations, topped off with a trip home to London. Here’s what happened in my week…
It’s been a while since I wrote about favourites around this part but over the last few weeks there have been some things that I’ve been regularly using and loving and so, wanted to share.
I’m sure it’s the fashion student in me that hates to throw out clothes when I can see them looking great on someone else. I have always enjoyed buying pre-loved clothing from charity shops or vintage fairs therefore I know it’s important to share my own clothes so that others can do the same. The majority of the clothes I end up getting rid of, I don’t deem as being ‘eBay worthy’ but when the pile builds up, I take the time to sell them and make some extra money whilst I’m at it. Although I have sold quite a few of my clothes on eBay before, there’s definitely a few tips that I wish someone had told me when I was starting out… (more…)
I am back in London now for my Easter break but before the long list of coursework can be tackled, I’m treating myself to some retail therapy and using ‘I got through this Semester’ as an excuse. Today is apparently the first day of Spring and recently I’ve been rather optimistically shopping for jackets and bikinis, although this is definitely not a reflection of outside temperatures. Is March always this cold?! (more…)
