There’s been a couple of new additions to my wardrobe in the last week including a pair of embroidered jeans that I picked up at the end of this season’s sales and a pair of controversial black trainers, which I was kindly gifted after a recent event. Both of which are from brands that I don’t typically shop with and they push me a little out of my fashion comfort zone.
Andia Fora Track Trainers (shop here)
If someone told me that I would own a pair of fluffy (hairy?) trainers, I would most likely cringe at the thought but I received this pair from the Italian brand Andia Fora, after working at an event they were attending last weekend. When better to try something different to your style norm than when you’ve got nothing to lose? The trainers themselves are a lovely quality and are so comfortable to wear, they also make a nice change from my white Stan Smiths, which never spend long off my feet. Fluffy trainers though…a step too far?
Dorothy Perkins Embroidered Jeans (shop here)
I’ve been pretty slow at jumping on the embroidered denim band-wagon but honestly that’s because until I spotted these jeans, I didn’t think I was a fan of the trend. I still can’t see myself buying into the 90s-kitsch embroidery styles but I thought this simple flower pattern added a lovely detail to the jeans. The jeans cut off at the ankles (as you can see in the photos above) and are a straight fit, which again makes them different to what can already be found in my wardrobe.
