I am back in London now for my Easter break but before the long list of coursework can be tackled, I’m treating myself to some retail therapy and using ‘I got through this Semester’ as an excuse. Today is apparently the first day of Spring and recently I’ve been rather optimistically shopping for jackets and bikinis, although this is definitely not a reflection of outside temperatures. Is March always this cold?!
I ordered a khaki duster jacket from Missguided this week after eyeing up a girl in one of my lectures who always looks amazing in her own khaki jacket but unfortunately it was too long for me and I wasn’t happy with the material so I had to send it back. Since then I’ve been searching for a jacket in pretty much every store I can think of. I’m not even sure I know what I’m looking for but I’m hoping it will be obvious when I find it. Two (very different) options so far are this trench coat by a brand called Poppy Lux (stocked in House of Fraser, Next, Asos etc.) and this oriental style printed bomber jacket from All Saints, which is so far out of my price range but a girl can dream!
A random item on my wish-list are these cat ear headphones I spotted on Urban Outfitters the other week. They are definitely not something I need at the moment but I thought I’d share because they were too great not to!
The inappropriate wish-list item of the month is this bikini from Mango. Mango put up a ‘beachwear’ edit on their website this week, which coincided with me booking a holiday to Morocco in June (eek!!) This is the kind of simple bikini I know I’ll spend ages looking for when the time comes but right now I really can’t justify buying a bikini when I’m wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa. After I spent too long looking at holiday clothes online, I started looking at motivation for working out (a natural progression, I’m sure) and I came across the new FitBit Alta. It’s supposed to FitbBit’s new ‘fashionable’ offering and I’ve been coming around to the idea of having a constant daily reminder to move and exercise more. Even better, I hear there’s Tory Burch straps available…
